Position Opportunity: Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and collaboration with building administrators the MTSS District Coach will be responsible for the overall management of the building level Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports/Response to Intervention system. The MTSS building coach will be a strong communicator and an optimistic and positive leader. He/she has a commitment to this work, is eternally persistent, and a natural problem-solver. An effective MTSS coach will be highly skilled at developing and sustaining trusting relationships, ambitious and positive about the change process, respectful of teachers, administrators, and families and the demands of the classroom. They also must be skilled at working with and understanding data.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistency within systems in each building
- Collaborate with Community Schools Principal to utilize outside agencies to provide additional layers of support for our students and families with Tier III needs
- Provides MTSS leadership and support throughout the District
- Model problem-solving across all levels and tiers
- Collaborates with building level MTSS Coaches
- Facilitates professional learning on MTSS related topics
- Collect and monitor school and district databases to track and analyze student behavioral/academic data
- Participate in regional or national MTSS/PBIS leadership opportunities
