Position Summary: | The Academic and Behavior Support Coordinator/Coach plays a key role in ensuring all students receive the instruction and support they need to succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. This position supports teachers and staff in implementing a coordinated, data-driven system of tiered supports within a multi-tiered system. |

Primary Responsibilities |
Student Support Coordination - Monitor academic and behavior data to identify students in need of additional support.
- Coordinate Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for students not making adequate progress in the core curriculum.
- Collaborate with the administrators, instructional coaches, interventionists, counselors, and classroom teachers to develop and adjust support plans.
Academic Support - Help facilitate the delivery of small-group and individualized academic interventions.
- Assist teachers with differentiation strategies and intervention planning based on data.
- Organize and track progress monitoring tools (e.g., i-Ready).
Behavioral & Social-Emotional Support - Support implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports at the Tier 1 level.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and monitor behavior intervention plans for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students.
- Support implementation of SEL programs (e.g., Second Step, Zones of Regulation) and restorative practices.
Team Facilitation & Communication - Lead tiered meetings focused on problem-solving and progress monitoring.
- Communicate clearly and positively with families about the intervention process, student data, and next steps.
- Collaborate regularly with administrators and the school psychologist to align services and supports.
Professional Development & Coaching - Provide training and support for staff on intervention best practices, data analysis, and behavior supports.
- Help build schoolwide capacity for using data to drive instructional and behavioral decisions.

Evaluation | Performance will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal, the Building Assistant Principal, the Curriculum Coordinator, and other administrators as designated by the Superintendent, in accordance with the terms established by the Agreement between the Superintendent and the Lyons Teachers' Association and Board of Education policy. |
