Position			Cafeteria Monitor			Posting Date	January 16, 2026

Qualifications	Must meet Civil Service Requirements
Reports to	Building Administrators   Director of Food Service
Responsibilities		An individual who is optimistic, who sees events positively and anticipates the best possible outcome. Able to encourage and sustain others’ efforts as they work toward goals.
Supervises student behavior in the cafeteria     Serves food and cashiers as requested.    Assists kitchen staff in carrying, packing, and unpacking supplies and foods.    Wipes tables and chairs/benches between lunch periods.    Collects trash, empties and cleans trash containers, and replaces liners.    Labels trash containers and encourages recycling.    Sweeps and mops the floor.    Cleans serving area and equipment.    Cleans other areas as requested by building administration.    Facilitates student movement in the lunch line.    Assists students in opening food and beverage containers.    Supervises students in cleaning up meal debris and tables.    Supervises students to and from bathrooms.    Wears clothing appropriate for health, safety, and sanitation.
Job Goal
Other	Other related duties as assigned by Director of Food Service, Cook, Assistant Cook, or Building Administrator.
Evaluation	Performance of the job will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal or Director of Food Service in accordance with Board of Education policy.
Terms of Employment				10-month position. In accordance with the terms and conditions set by the Board of Education.
